Kit 26 · Board Brief · deliverable · designed and built by I Wayan Usada — instructional design portfolio
A text-based storyboard, written before any code: every scene is a decision with a consequence, not a slide. The plan below is the build contract — scene count, interaction logic, feedback placement and the debrief arc.
| # | Scene | On screen | The learner decides | Right path | Tempting path | Consequence shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Twelve cards on the table | 12 evidence cards, 5-slot limit visible | select cards | 5 cards, each mapped to the claim | hoards 'just in case' cards | the one-pager renders cluttered; the executive reads none of it |
| 2 | The claim register | 3 register options: wrong mechanism / decision-ready / inventory non-claim | commit a claim | decision-ready claim with mechanism named | inventory summary dressed as a claim | register names the mechanism error in the debrief |
| 3 | The trade-off frame | 3 frames: visible cost / win-win myth / appendix-hidden | choose the frame | visible frame with the cost stated | win-win myth (the flattering lie) | debrief shows how each frame reads from the board seat |
| 4 | The rendered one-pager | assembled brief as the executive sees it | self-review | fifteen-minute read holds | defends the clutter | scoring replays the board member's fifteen minutes, minute by minute |
Card selection is re-editable until commit; after commit, the debrief is the only path back.
Debrief scores the claim mechanism, the card-claim trace and the trade-off frame — the rewarded mechanism is named, not just the score.
