Kit 21 · The Quad · deliverable · designed and built by I Wayan Usada — instructional design portfolio
A text-based storyboard, written before any code: every scene is a decision with a consequence, not a slide. The plan below is the build contract — scene count, interaction logic, feedback placement and the debrief arc.
| # | Scene | On screen | The learner decides | Right path | Tempting path | Consequence shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The quad opens | four factions with hidden willingness, dossiers available | read or move immediately | dossiers read; SHOWCASE aimed at the persuadable faction | MANDATE on turn one | quarter 1 readout: mandate signed, compliance zero — paper adoption |
| 2 | The funding trap | FUND available, one faction flattered | fund who | funds the co-owner, compounding legitimacy | funds the skeptic for approval | readout shows money without ownership: usage flat, cost booked |
| 3 | The formalization window | CO-OWN done, FORMALIZE unlocked | formalize now or later | formalizes built ownership — locks it in | formalizes early | readout: formalizing locks in only ownership that exists — which was none |
| 4 | Handover | HANDOVER move available, budget low | hand over or hold | hands to the co-owned coalition | holds control to the end | final readout: the programme died with its owner; adoption survived only where it was handed |
The board is replayable from any quarter; the debrief contrasts the played sequence with two designed counter-sequences.
Debrief reads both currencies per quarter and names the ordering rule the sequence proved or violated.
