Kit 22 · Four Rooms · deliverable · designed and built by I Wayan Usada — instructional design portfolio
A text-based storyboard, written before any code: every scene is a decision with a consequence, not a slide. The plan below is the build contract — scene count, interaction logic, feedback placement and the debrief arc.
| # | Scene | On screen | The learner decides | Right path | Tempting path | Consequence shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Room 1: the failing student | student hints at overload, asks about extensions | three replies | join + closed-door service referral | advice-splash: 'have you tried a planner?' | feedback names what the splash cost: the real barrier stayed hidden |
| 2 | Room 2: the money ask | student reveals rent trouble mid-topic | dial: LISTEN MORE / REFER NOW / REFER + CHECK-BACK | refer now to the right service + check-back | LISTEN MORE past the disclosure | sequence feedback: full sequence scored — listening alone left the referral unmade |
| 3 | Room 3: the decoy ask | student requests something trivial, phrased to close the talk | notice the decoy or take the exit | joins the real question beneath the decoy | answers the decoy literally | feedback: the decoy was a door — the room's real ask went unasked |
| 4 | Room 4: the check-back | referral made earlier in the sequence | close the loop or end the talk | check-back: confirm contact happened | ends on the referral handoff | sequence debrief: an unverified referral is half a sequence |
Rooms are replayable; the debrief replays full sequences and explains why partial sequences fail.
Debrief scores sequences, names the safe-scope rule per room, and contrasts splash with join on the same moment.
