Kit 25 · The Handover · deliverable · designed and built by I Wayan Usada — instructional design portfolio
Handover docs survive the Friday-night test: docs built with the five structures produce itemized correct actions, not guesses, in the simulation.
Handovers read fine in the handover meeting and fail alone at night — the gaps only surface when someone actually follows the doc under pressure.
| # | Behavior | What it looks like | Where the artifact trains it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Choose structures that fit each element | IF-THEN, WORKED EXAMPLE, FAILURE GALLERY, CONTACT PATH placed where they pay | doc builder |
| 2 | Spend the 14-point budget on the risky elements | budget on failure-prone elements, not easy ones | budget mechanic |
| 3 | Read the simulation's itemized guesses | each gap traced to a specific wrong turn | Friday-night test |
It will not teach documentation tools — the unit is the structure-matching decision and its cost under pressure.
Debrief scores the doc by the simulation's itemization: guesses vs guided actions, per element.
