## Design premise

A text-based storyboard, written before any code: every scene is a decision with a consequence, not a slide. The plan below is the build contract — scene count, interaction logic, feedback placement and the debrief arc.

## Scene plan

| # | Scene | On screen | The learner decides | Right path | Tempting path | Consequence shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | **The empty doc** | ten process elements, five structures, 14-point budget | allocate structures | risky elements get IF-THEN + FAILURE GALLERY | spends on the obvious elements | the test previews: the risky element is undocumented |
| 2 | **The worked example** | one element is genuinely subtle | choose its structure | WORKED EXAMPLE with real numbers | NONE — 'it's self-explanatory' | the test shows the guess the 'obvious' step produced |
| 3 | **Friday, 23:40** | the simulation runs minute-by-minute | watch your doc work | doc holds: contact path found, IF-THEN followed | the gap hits | itemized: '23:47 — guessed the fallback; the doc had no FAILURE GALLERY here' |
| 4 | **The gap itemization** | every wrong turn listed against its element | rebuild or accept | rebuilds the two costly gaps | accepts the guess rate | debrief: every gap was authored by an allocation choice — own it |

## Retry design

Budget re-allocates freely until the test runs; the simulation replays with any rebuild.

## Debrief plan

Debrief scores the doc by the simulation's itemization: guesses vs guided actions, per element.
