Every scene of “The pallet that lies” in text — including the Dutch captions. The video remains the primary experience; this is the accessible equivalent.

EN + NL captions in the build

Scene 1 · The 02:00 arrival — ±6s

Visual: night dock, a pharma-grade truck rolls in under headlights; the pallet sits waiting.

EN: “02:14. A pharma-grade load rolls in. The driver hands you one line to sign.” — “This pallet looks perfect. It’s lying.”

NL: “02:14. Een farmaceutische lading rolt binnen. De chauffeur geeft je één regel om te tekenen.” — “Deze pallet oogt perfect. En hij liegt.”

Scene 2 · Failure 1: paper isn’t proof — ±7s

Visual: an “ACCEPTED” stamp slams down, dies, and becomes “WRITTEN OFF · €14,000”; a red logger readout appears.

EN: “Paperwork signed. Pallet accepted. Everyone moves on.” — “Two days later the client’s logger shows 11.4 °C average — the load was abused long before it reached you. €14,000 written off. The signature checked nothing, and neither did a glance at the surface.” — “The signature checked nothing. Paper ≠ proof.”

NL: “Papieren getekend. Pallet geaccepteerd. Iedereen gaat door.” — “Twee dagen later toont de logger van de klant gemiddeld 11,4 °C — de lading was al lang voordat hij bij jou aankwam misbruikt. € 14.000 afgeschreven. De handtekening controleerde niets.”

Scene 3 · The surface lies — ±8s

Visual: a temperature probe pierces the pallet core; an infrared sweep ring runs over the crates; readouts compare surface vs. core.

EN: “Surface reading: 3.1 °C. Textbook. And completely useless.” — “A late reefer blast chills the outer shell — while the dense core traps 11.4 °C heat. A surface glance reads the lie. The core probe reads the pallet.” — “surface 3.1 °C · looks perfect” → “core 11.4 °C · the truth”.

NL: “Oppervlaktemeting: 3,1 °C. Schoolvoorbeeld. En volledig waardeloos.” — “Koeling op het laatste moment maakt de buitenkant koud — terwijl de kern op 11,4 °C blijft. Een blik leest de leugen. De sonde leest de pallet.”

Scene 4 · 8.4 °C: panic or protocol? — ±8s

Visual: a gauge climbs to 8.4 °C and trembles; two protocol questions appear as decision rows.

EN: “The core probe lands just past the line. Now what?” — “Was the excursion under 30 minutes?” / “Does the core drop back under 8 °C after 20 min on the chill dock?” — “Panic rejects everything. That’s how 31% of rejections become mistakes.” — “Both yes → accept with a note. The note turns a shrug into a decision.”

NL: “De kernmeting landt nét over de grens. En nu?” — “Paniek keurt alles af. Het protocol stelt eerst twee vragen:”

Scene 5 · The clock you’re allowed to pause — ±8s

Visual: the dock clock runs during shift peak; the escalation path lights up from the chill dock.

EN: “Shift peak. Every minute on the ambient dock is a minute of abuse.” — “Escalate from the chill dock. The clock runs — the chain doesn’t break.”

NL: “Drukpiek. Elke minuut op het ambient-dock is een minuut misbruik.” — “De klok die je mag pauzeren.”

Scene 6 · Three rules — end

Visual: the four receiving gates glow in sequence; a shield verdict closes the story and links to the interactive module.

EN: “Three rules. One record. Every pallet.” — “This routine exists because 23 pallets a quarter were lost to exactly these three moments.” — “The record protects the next shift.” — CTA: “Practice the calls → interactive module”.

NL: “Drie regels. Eén verslag. Elke pallet.”
