Kit 10 · The Second Signature · deliverable · designed and built by I Wayan Usada — instructional design portfolio
Finance professionals use the full escalation ladder — engage, propose, document, escalate — choosing the proportionate rung in scored memo reviews.
Reviewers either sign, silently absorb, or over-escalate; the proportionate middle rungs were never practiced, so judgment defaults to extremes.
| # | Behavior | What it looks like | Where the artifact trains it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Recognize the professional issue in the memo | issue named before any response chosen | memo forks |
| 2 | Choose the proportionate rung, not the safe extreme | principled response over plausible or overcorrected | three-response forks |
| 3 | Name the professional consequence | feedback names what each rung does to the culture | ladder feedback |
It will not teach compliance rules — the memos are rule-compliant on paper; the trained unit is judgment between the extremes.
Debrief scores rung proportionality per memo and reads the file as a culture pattern.
